Yunli is a 5-star Physical Destruction character in Honkai: Star Rail whose counter-focused kit can make her a good attacker or tank for the party so long as you have enough Ascension Materials to build her. In order to fully ascend your Yunli, you’ll need to go between Penacony (the newest world when Yunli debuted in the game) and the Xianzhou Luofu (as she’s a resident of a Xianzhou ship).
You’ll need these Ascension Materials for Yunli in Honkai: Star Rail

- 5 Artifex’s Modules
- 4000 Credits
Ascension 2:
- 10 Artifex’s Modules
- 8000 Credits
Ascension 3:
- 6 Artifex’s Cogwheels
- 3 IPC Work Permits
- 16,000 Credits
Ascension 4:
- 9 Artifex’s Cogwheels
- 7 IPC Work Permits
- 40,000 Credits
Ascension 5:
- 6 Artifex’s Gyrehearts
- 20 IPC Work Permits
- 80,000 Credits
Ascension 6:
- 9 Artifex’s Gyrehearts
- 35 IPC Work Permits
- 160,000 Credits
In order to fully ascend Yunli, you’ll need to farm: 15 Artifex’s Modules, 15 Artifex’s Cogwheels, 15 Artifex’s Gyrehearts, 65 IPC Work Permits, and 308,000 Credits. You can get IPC Work Permits from the Shape of Duty Stagnant Shadow in Penacony. As for the Artifex materials, you’ll need to visit the Xianzhou Luofu for them. These items are drops from enemies like Aurumaton Gatekeepers, Entranced Ingenium: Golden Cloud Toads, and Entranced Ingenium: Obedient Dracolions.
Here’s how to level up Yunli’s Traces
In order to level up a single non-Basic Attack Trace for Yunli in Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll need to farm the following Ascension Materials:
- 9 Artifex’s Modules
- 13 Artifex’s Cogwheels
- 7 Artifex’s Gyrehearts
- 3 Borisin Teeth
- 15 Lupitoxin Sawteeth
- 30 Moon Rage Fangs
- 3 Regrets of Infinite Ochema
- 2 Tracks of Destiny
- 652,500 Credits
Aside from Penacony, you’ll need to go back to the XIanzhou Luofu again if you want to fully level up some of Yunli’s Traces. You can get the Regret of Infinite Ochema Ascension Material from the Echo of War: Phantylia the Undying boss. This Echo of War is available in the Scalegorge Waterscape on the Xianzhou Luofu.
When leveling up her Traces, you’ll want to prioritize her Talent and her Ultimate first. These are the more important ones to her kit. Afterwards, you can spend some resources on her Skill.
