A new Harvest Moon game is in development for PC and Wii U. Titled Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, the new game is being developed by Natsume, and is described by the publisher as a “retro-style” title.
Natsume say that Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will go back to the series’ roots inspired by the old-school gameplay of the very first games. Tasked with the job of revitalizing a farm, players will need to befriend the villagers in town to unlock the “Seeds of Memories”. This can be done by giving a villager their favourite item, catching a giant fish, or raising your first cow.
Animals will return in the game, with cows, sheep, and chickens all making appearances. You’ll also be able to keep a bobcat for a pet. It’ll start out as a wild animal, but you’ll have the opportunity to befriend it during the game.
Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will have five bachelors and bachelorettes to marry. The game is in development for PC, Wii U, iOS, and Android devices, and will be released this Winter. No screenshots or footage is available yet, but Natsume will share a look at the title at E3 this year.
