While one Harvest Moon game was delayed, another has just, well, sprouted almost out of nowhere. Natsume’s Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Xbox One version is now available on the Microsoft Store for $29.99. (There’s a Windows 10 version too.)
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is the fourth entry in the Natsume series of games that broke off from Story of Seasons/Bokujou Monogatari. It follows the standard formula of coming to a town to work on a vacant farm while also working toward a larger objective by completing everyday chores and tasks. In this case, it’s restoring the town and its lighthouse.
This is actually the second one of Natsume’s Harvest Moon offshoots to show up on the console. The first was the puzzle game spin-off Harvest Moon: Mad Dash, which came to the Xbox One and Windows 10 back in August 2020. However, it is the first “traditional” Harvest Moon Xbox One game.
As the Xbox One version is the “Complete Version,” it means no extra purchases. The other console and PC versions had a season pass that added extras like more romance options, decorations, and Doc & Melanie’s Special Episodes.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope originally appeared on PCs, before eventually heading to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and both Android and Apple iOS devices a year later. The Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Xbox One and Windows 10 versions are immediately digitally available now.
