Hands on with Elite Beat Agents

While the music and graphics might have changed to fit the American audience better, Elite Beat Agents is still as entertaining as Ouendan. In the game you play a squad of special agents dressed up in CIA style suits. When people are in trouble all they have to do is shout out help and Commander Khan deploys the elite beat agents. The gameplay is exactly the same as Ouendan, players need to hit numbers on the screen as a tiny circle begins to close in on them. Other tasks include spinning a wheel and following a moving ball back and forth. What makes Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan really stand out is the game’s humor. Stories are told in manga panels at the top of the screen. The E3 demo had two scenarios to play one about a lost dog trying to find his way home and the other was about a teenage babysitter who is trying to go steady with her football player boyfriend. Both of the stories have humorous moments like the football boyfriend running the baby to the toilet and screaming touchdown. Just like how the scenarios changed the music in the game changed too.
