Hanako: Honor & Blade Brings 24-Player Combat To Feudal Japan This October

Hanako: Honor & Blade, previously called Hanako – Soul of the Samurai, will have up to twenty-four players clashing as Kenshi (swordsmen), Naginatashi (pikemen), Ninja (assassins), or Ite (archers) in huge battles across feudal Japan this October.

The four combat classes all feature their own fighting style and special moves. Each offers several offensive stances based upon movement, letting players attack in different ways based on how they are maneuvering around the arena. They are not purely offensive, though, with each class having access to defensive measures like a grappling hook that can pull them to safety, or they can go pure attack and lash out with barrages of fire arrows or acrobatic combos.

The lore of these multiplayer battles is extensive, following a fictional representation of the Sengoku Period of 16th century Japan. It will have players joining either the honorless, vicious Yamai or the honorable Hanako, both vying for power after the death of the Shogun.

Players will be able to join either faction and battle it out in huge representations of feudal Japan, doing so on October 9th, 2017 when Hanako: Honor & Blade releases on Steam Early Access.
