On November 11th, Microsoft will release Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The compilation will contain Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 for the Xbox One.

The collection will feature a “single unified interface” with everything unlocked on a single disc. Unlocking everything at the start, developer 343 Industries said, will allow them to create “custom playlists” featuring memorable moments from all four games.

As part of the collection, Halo 2 will be given the “full anniversary treatment” with upgrades to every part of the game. You’ll be able to switch between the classic and updated versions using the fly.

Additionally, the compilation will also include Halo 2’s multiplayer “exactly as it shipped ten years ago”. In addition to this, six maps from Halo 2 have been updated on Xbox One.

343 confirmed that all the multiplayer in Halo: The Master Chief Collection will run in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second, with each game’s multiplayer running on its original engine and dedicated servers.

In addition to the previous games, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will contain the Halo Nightfall live-action series, which will feature a new character and lead directly into Halo 5: Guardians. This is being produced in collaboration with Ridley Scott of Aliens fame.

Finally, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will feature a multiplayer beta for Halo 5.
