Hakuouki Shinkai Reimeiroku Ryuunosuke

The official teaser website for Idea Factory and Otomate’s Nintendo Switch port of Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku is now live. There are also three bonus drama CDs that will be available depending on if you pre-order or buy the special limited version. Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku will come out on August 26, 2021. Hakuouki Reimeiroku originally released in 2010 on the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable. It details the Shinsengumi’s creation prior to the events of the original Hakuouki. The story follows Ryuunosuke Ibuki, who lives in the Shinsengumi headquarters after Kamo Serizawa picks him up off the streets.

This is not the first Hakuouki game to appear on the Nintendo Switch. In 2019, Otomate and Idea Factory released Hakuouki: Shinkai Tsukikage no Shou.

The entire cast for the game has been announced. Here are the voice actors for the Shinsengumi:

  • Ryuunosuke Ibuki: Tomokazu Seki
  • Toshizo Hijikata: Shinichiro Miki
  • Soji Okita: Morikubo Showtaro
  • Hajime Saito: Kosuke Toriumi
  • Heisuke Toudou: Hiroyuki Yoshino
  • Sanosuke Harada: Koji Yusa
  • Kamo Serizawa: Joji Nakata

There is a total of three different drama CDs that will come out in commemoration of the Nintendo Switch port for Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku. If you pre-order the game, the drama CD attached follows the Shinsengumi’s attempt to conscript more members. For players who get the limited edition, two drama CDs come with it. The first one follows the Shinsengumi members buying ingredients for food, and the second one involves them looking for treasure.

The Nintendo Switch port for Hakuouki: Shinkai Reimeiroku will come out on August 26, 2021.
