Arc System Works released two new Guilty Gear -Strive- starter guide videos that show how to play May and Axl.
May
The first video shows how to play May in Guilty Gear -Strive-. May is a simple but strong fighter with powerful rushdown moves. Her Mr. Dolphin move allows her to grab onto a dolphin to charge forward. It is a versatile move with different uses based on whether you’re doing the slash or heavy slash version. It can also go vertical for an anti-air move.
Arisugawa Sparkle is one of her projectile moves that come in useful at mid-range distance. The trajectory changes depending on whether you use the kick or punch version of the move and it still shoots even if May gets hit. May can pressure opponents with a variety of Mr. Dolphin and Arisugawa Sparkle along with some Overhead Kisses thrown in the mix.
Axl Low
Next up we have a video on how to play Axl Low in Guilty Gear -Strive-. Axl specializes in long-ranged attacks. His Sickle Flash move shoots his sickle from a distance and hits low so it can be difficult to hit opponents that are mid-air. However, it is a great move to use against enemy projectiles, as it not only cancels their projectile but also hits them at the same time.
Soaring Chain Strike is a follow-up move to Sickle Flash that pulls back the extended chain-sickle in a trajectory that can catch opponents in the air. It’s a good way to catch an opponent that dodges your Sickle Flash attack. Furthermore, there’s also the Spinning Chain Strike that is also a follow-up to Sickle Flash that is effective in close-ranged combat.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will release for the PlayStation 4 in late 2020. The closed beta test keys have been going out but the test will take place from April 16 to April 19, 2020.
