Arc System Works has announced an extension for the Guilty Gear Strive Beta. Instead of ending on February 21, 2021, like originally planned, the beta will remain accessible until February 23 at 6:59 am PT. It’s important to note that the Open Beta will only be accessible for players who have already downloaded the game. The ability to download the open beta game data was disabled at 6:59 am PST on February 21, 2021.

Arc System Works first revealed that it would be looking into compensation options on February 19, after issues with the game’s servers rendered the Guilty Gear Strive Open Beta unplayable for long bouts of time. According to the company, the issues began at 10 am PT on February 18, 2021. Server issues then continued until nighttime rolled around on the 19th.

A tweet subsequent to the extension announcement contained a disclaimer of sorts, stating that the Open Beta Test’s schedule could change in response to server situations. There isn’t any indication as to what that sort of change could look like at the moment, or if there is any expectation of further server issues.

Guilty Gear Strive is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on April 9, 2021. The game will also appear in arcades at some point in Spring of 2021.
