In CI Games’ Lords of the Fallen, simply honing your skills will not be enough to survive in either Axiom or the Umbral Realm. Players must upgrade their main six stats to improve their character’s offense, defense, ability to use weapons, and spells to keep up with the increasingly deadly foes ahead.
Leveling up your character in Lords of the Fallen is important, so you will need to think carefully before you do so. While the changes you get from leveling up may seem small individually at first, over time, they will start to result in huge advantages if you spend your points right. Some of those advantages include access to powerful weapons, significantly increased resistance, mobility, and the ability to wield powerful Radiance or Inferno spells.
As such, if you fail to plan out your build, your character will have an unbalanced kit and be at a disadvantage. It should also be noted that different classes will also benefit from different stats. For example, the Hallowed Knight relies more on strength for attack power, while the Orian Preacher benefits from higher Radiance for their abilities. Here is your guide to Stats in Lords of the Fallen.
How to level up Stats in Lords of the Fallen
In Lords of the Fallen, you level up your character’s stats by collecting vigor and spending it at Vestige Points. Players can obtain vigor by killing enemies and bosses. As a character levels up, the more vigor it will cost to reach the next level. However, you will want to use your vigor when you can, as you can lose your experience points if your character dies in the Umbral Realm. More specifically, players must pick up their dropped vigor from where they died, or risk losing it permanently. Below is a breakdown of what each stat means in Lords of the Fallen, and which ones you should invest in:
Strength:
Upgrading your Strength stat will boost your raw melee attack power. This is a vital stat for all of the melee classes in the game. Leveling this stat will also allow you to wield powerful, high-level equipment such as heavy weapons. Because Axiom is filled to the brim with powerful armor and weapons, having the ability to handle these tools will be a huge advantage.
Agility:
Despite what the name suggests, Agility will not boost your movement or roll speed. It is more comparable to Dexterity. Similar to Strength, Agility will also improve your attack damage and the scaling on various weapons as well. However, Agility-based weapons tend to be lighter, such as bows and daggers.
Endurance:
Upgrading your Endurance is important for boosting your character’s stamina and carrying capacity. Stamina is incredibly important in Lords of the Fallen as it allows you to block, roll, run, and use heavy attacks more frequently. Because your carrying capacity will be increased when leveling this stat, you are less likely to be encumbered when wearing heavy equipment.
Vitality:
Boosting your Vitality will boost your max HP as well as your Weight. Regardless of your chosen class, Vitality is an important stat as there are many heavy-hitting enemies that populate Axiom that can halve your health bar with a single strike. Having a high Vitality will allow you to survive most encounters.
Radiance and Inferno:
Radiance and Inferno have very similar functions in Lords of the Fallen. Both of these stats will boost your mana when upgraded and are vital to your ability to use magic. The only major difference between these two is that Radiance allows you to use holy spells and items, while Inferno allows you to use fire-based items and spells. Upgrading this stat will also be beneficial by giving you “insights” into the descriptions of various items.
Lords of the Fallen is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
