Gravity Rush Crosses 100,000 Mark In Japan

Gravity Rush for the PlayStation Vita didn’t exactly make a big splash on the sales chart when it released in Japan last month. The game sold just 43,462 copies in its first week and quickly dropped off the top-20, never to be heard from again.

Since then, it’s sold little by little and managed to cross the 100,000 mark, director, Keiichiro Toyama, reports via Twitter. That figure takes into account both retail and download sales in Japan. Toyama added that he looks forward to the game’s international release.

While 100k isn’t a great number for the Vita’s most high-profile game to date, it is nice to know that the game has managed to come this far, despite a slow start. Gravity Rush will be released in the U.S. and Europe in June.
