GungHo Updates Grandia HD Collection With Japanese, Bug Fixes, and More

grandia hd collection update

GungHo Online Entertainment released update patches for its multiplatform HD releases of classic RPGs Grandia and Grandia II. This update coincides with the Japanese releaseof these remasters, meaning the only new feature is full Japanese language support. However, these releases have had their share of problems, and the update comes with a list of bug fixes and optimization upgrades for both platforms.

The update brings Grandia HD Collection to version 1.01.00 on the Nintendo Switch, as well as both Grandia HD Remaster and Grandia II HD Remaster, which are sold separately on PC via Steam. The updates will be applied automatically, pending individual user settings on either platform. Both versions of the game(s) seem to be at parity, as the version numbering is consistent and GungHo’s press release points fans to Steam listings for the patch notes.

Both Grandia HD Collection titles have their own list of big fixes, which range from localization errors to full game freezing. Frame rate issues are also noted to be addressed as well. Since the releases are separated on Steam, you’ll have to look at both listings for all the details. In addition to the update, GungHo stated it will be sharing notes from development team staff on the official Grandia HD Collection website, so keep an eye out for when that updates.

Grandia HD Collection is currently available on the Nintendo Switch, and each game is available separately on the PC via Steam.

Backed Bloodstained on Kickstarter but all his opinions on it are correct regardless.
