Like in previous Granblue Fantasy collaboration events, you will have the chance to obtain two Uma Musume units for free, whether through the story or with event currency. Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio will appear as a single playable unit. This is similar to how Hijikata and Okita from the Gintama collaboration worked. Gold Ship and Mejiro McQueen will appear together as a summon.

For overseas players, this event will likely be their first proper look at the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby characters in a localized video game. Despite its success, Cygames has not yet localized or announced a localization of the game. There is, however, an anime version that covers the main story.

The reveal of the collaboration event came during Day 2 of Granblue Fantasy Fes 2021. Gold Ship, who is in charge of the Uma Musume YouTube channel, popped up to announce it.

Other announcements over the course of the event include a release window for Granblue Fantasy Relink, as well as a teaser for the main story quest. The streams also included merchandise reveals, musical performances, and a look-back on events or changes made over the course of 2021.

Granblue Fantasy is readily available worldwide on web browsers and mobile devices. The Granblue Fantasy and Uma Musume: Pretty Derby collaboration will go live in February 2022.
