When the event officially begins on October 15, 2021, players will be able to immediately start the crossover story. Clearing the third episode in Chapter 1 will let them recruit Shinsengumi members Sougo Okita and Toshiro Hijikata as a single character slot.

Cygames will release the second part of the Gintama crossover event in Granblue Fantasy on October 20, 2021. The fifth chapter will be available after this update. Clearing the third episode will let the player recruit Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura from Yorozuya Gin-chan. As a running gag, the three characters are visibly upset that they are relegated to the latter part despite being the title’s main characters.

Other than the above five characters, players can also recruit Kotaro Katsura and Elizabeth. Just like Shinsengumi and Yorozuya Gin-chan, they will appear as a single-character slot. However, they will be available exclusively in the treasure exchange menu on October 20, 2021.

Finally, the webpage also revealed that Tatsuma Sakamoto, Shinsuke Takasugi, and the dog Sadaharu will appear in the event story, even though they have not been listed as recruitable characters.

Granblue Fantasy is immediately available on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as mobile and PC browsers. The Gintama collaboration event will be available on October 15-28, 2021.
