A taste of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5 teaser is coming out next week on the Playstation Store. The demo is scheduled to arrive on October 20 and it will include new cars from the Tokyo Motor Show. The following cars are confirmed to be in the downloadable version:
2008 Daihatsu OFC-1
2008 Lexus IS-F
2008 Mazda Atenza
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
2009 BMW 135i Coupe
2009 Nissan GT-R
More cars will be added on between October 23 to October 25. The free demo only has a single track to race on and it will not have online play, a feature that will be added in the final version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Also this is only going to be around for a limited time. After November 11th it’s leaving the Japanese Playstation Store, which is an odd day to can the download. On the same day the 40GB Playstation 3 and Shin Sangoku Musou 5, a potential system seller, are scheduled to come out. It would have been nice to leave the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo up an extra week for new adopters to pick up.
