Goenitz is a member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi, along with Shermie, Yashiro and Chris. Defeating Goenitz in Boss Challenge mode will reward players with a new stage, The Strange Plateau, and a new BGM, “Trash Head –KOF XV ver-.” It will also award a new costume and a title.

The addition of cross-platform play will allow players on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, or Windows Store to face each other regardless of platform. It was previously announced as part of the update roadmap, and an open beta test appeared in late April 2023.

The next character set to arrive is Najd, the Saudi Arabian vigilante.

KOF XV is immediately available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Windows Store, and the update containing Goenitz and cross-play will go live on June 20, 2023
