God of War: Ascension To Have Co-Op Multiplayer Endurance Mode

God of War: Ascension will have a co-op mode, Sony have revealed. In the game’s Trial of the Gods mode, two players will be able to tag-team to fight five increasingly challenging waves of mythological beasts within a time limit. Every wave you kill will earn you additional time, based on how fast you managed to do it, with the fifth wave ending with a boss encounter.

When God of War: Ascension releases, the Trial of the Gods mode will be available on three of the game’s maps—Desert of Lost Souls, Forum of Hercules, and Rotunda of Olympus. Sony say more maps are planned for later. Additionally, if you prefer, you’ll be able to play this mode solo as well, when the game launches.

 

God of War: Ascension will be released for the PlayStation 3 in North America on March 12th and in Europe on March 13th.
