GKIDS Is Bringing Promare and Lupin III Back to Theatres

GKIDS Films has announced that it will be bringing back Children of the Sea, Weathering With You, Lupin III: The First, and Promare to select theatres. Each movie will be available in Japanese with subtitles, as well as English dub. Tickets will go on sale from May 14, 2021. The screenings, in collaboration with Fathom Events, will run from June 2021 to September 2021. Weathering With You, Lupin III: The First, and Promare will be shown in 4DX in select theatres. Additionally, Promare‘s screening will also include the SIDE: GALO and SIDE: LIO prequel shorts.

    • June 15, 2021, 7PM (Japanese with subtitles)

  • Lupin III: The First
    • August 29, 2021, 3PM (English Dub and 4DX)
    • August 31, 2021, 7PM (Japanese with subtitles)
  • Promare
    • September 16, 2021, 7PM (English Dub and 4DX)
    • September 19, 2021, 3PM (Japanese with subtitles)

GKIDS films is an indie publishing house that distributes Studio Ghibli movies, among other popular anime titles. The company also recently added Promare and other movies to HBO Max. It also ran the original screening of Lupin III: The First for the United States back in October 2020, and released the DVD and Blu-ray versions in January 2021.

Tickets for Children of the Sea, Weathering With You, Lupin III: The First, and Promare will go on sale from May 14, 2021.
