Each plush is around 100 centimeters tall, and they are part of the “DoQute” brand at Taito. DoQute is a portmanteau of “do” and “cute” as a reference to its merchandise being “large and cute.” “Do” is Japanese slang that loosely means super and you would use it to modify adjectives. Other DoQute Demon Slayer plushes will appear for pre-order aside from Tanjiro and Nezuko. Pre-orders for Zenitsu and Inosuke will open in December, and Kyojuro and Shinobu pre-orders will be available from February 2023.

Demon Slayer is a shonen manga series. It follows Tanjiro’s attempts to turn his sister from a demon back to a human. There are currently two seasons of the show available on Crunchyroll, and the movie Mugen Train is the highest-grossing film in Japan. The manga series was localized and released outside Japan by Viz Media.

The DoQute Demon Slayer plushes of Tanjiro and Nezuko will be available for pre-order from November 18 to December 18, 2022. They will ship out in May 2023.
