Get Space Invaders: Get Even in August

sige.jpgIt’s almost time for revenge. Taito has plans to release Space Invaders: Get Even on WiiWare in Japan sometime this month. After 30 years of shooting them you finally get to control the Space Invaders and destroy the earth. Up to 100 invaders can be under your command through a Wii remote controlled UFO. You get to tell the Space Invaders when to shoot lasers and unleash a group for a burst attack (pictured).

The game only costs 500 Wii Points ($5), but that’s for a base pack. Taito plans to sell extra content like stage packs for 500 Wii Points ($5) each. No word has been said regarding US release, but the ESRB rated a Space Invaders game for the Wii months ago. Perhaps this is it.
