The FFXIV Moonfire Faire event begins next week, and that means we get a chance to earn Phoenix Riser armor. Square Enix announced it kicks off on August 10, 2023. It also opened up a site to go over the basics of the event and show off the new equipment players can get.
To kick off the event, you’ll need to first be at level 30. If you are, then you can check in with Mayaru Moyaru, a Tataru, at Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks. You’ll find the character at X:11.5, Y:13.8. Visiting the character means you can start the “Allergic to Sunshine” quest.
As you go through the Moonfire Faire in FFXIV, you can collect the two parts of the Phoenix Riser armor. This is a unisex equipment set that resembles the sort of outfit a Super Sentai character might wear. It is split into the Phoenix Riser Helmet and Suit. You can see both below.

As usual, Square Enix also confirmed people will get a chance to pick up items from past events that they might have missed. For example, in 2022 we saw more beach items appear.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and the Moonfire Faire runs August 10-26, 2023.
