Inti Creates recently held a livestream showing off the first look at Gal Gun Returns gameplay. Announced at Tokyo Game Show 2020, Gal Gun Returns is a remaster of the first title in the series, Gal Gun. It originally appeared on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, in 2011 and 2012 respectively, and was only released in Japan.
Gal Gun Returns is a comedic title, featuring on-rails shooter gameplay with a story evocative of a dating sim. Inti Creates promised 423 different types of underwear in this version, in addition to even more unlockables. The game will include multi-language support; so far English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese languages have been confirmed. This remastered version will be the first time non-Japanese fans can get their hands on a localized release.
Inti Creates uploaded the livestream to its official YouTube channel, which we’ve linked below. Around 11 minutes in, hosts Matt and Andrew introduce the game’s characters. At 46 minutes in, the hosts show development footage of Gal Gun Returns gameplay.
Inti Creates has confirmed that Gal Gun Returns will release on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in Japan and Asia on January 28, 2021. A PC version will be released in February 2021 in Japan and Asia on Steam. The western release for all platforms is currently listed as just 2021.
