A new The King of Fighters XV trailer is already here. This second video is more of a brief peek at things to come and focuses on a single character. Essentially, people get to watch the KOF XV version of Shun’ei fight against Kyo Kusanagi for under a minute.
It only makes sense for Shun’ei’s character trailer to be the first one revealed. Back when SNK Producer Yasuyuki Oda and Creative Designer Eisuke Ogura announced the official reveal in December 2020, the two confirmed that he would be the protagonist.
The KOF XV Shun’ei trailer begins with some looks at the character from different angles. We then see him talk with Kyo before heading into the arena for a match. This gives us a chance to see him use his standard attacks, as well as both his pyrokinetic and hydrokinetic powers. It also ends with a promise of another trailer the week of January 17, 2021.
The official reveal trailer showed up on January 7, 2021. It offered a look at how Kyo, Mai Shiranui, Benimaru Nikaido, Leona, and Shun’ei will look in the newest entry in the series.
The King of Fighters XV will appear in 2021. SNK hasn’t revealed which platforms it will appear on yet.
