miHoYo will drop new details about Genshin Impact version 2.3 in a special stream scheduled for November 12, 2021. The special program will go live on the game’s official Twitch channel at 07:00 AM Eastern Time (UTC-5). There, it’s expected that miHoYo staff will detail upcoming story developments, events, new characters, and weapons coming with the next major update.

Promotional art for the Genshin Impact 2.3 stream features images of the male Traveler, Albedo, and Gorou. Albedo was added to the game as a limited character in December 2020. Gorou, however, is not yet playable. A native of Inazuma, he figured into the story during the 2.0 campaign update. There he was revealed as a general for the Sangonomiya resistance forces, working against the Raiden Shogun’s Vision Hunt Decree. Previews by miHoYo suggested his addition as a 4-Star Geo-element Archer, but didn’t specify when he’d appear on a wish banner. Notably, the promotional art for the Japanese-language announcement of the Genshin Impact 2.3 stream features gang leader Arataki Itto, a new 5-Star Geo character, instead of the Traveler. This also suggests that Itto’s banner will also go live during the update. It remains to be seen if or when Gorou will be added to the playable roster. Fellow Inazuma native Thoma, another new 4-Star character, joined the playable roster alongside Hu Tao’s rerun banner for the version 2.2 update.

As for what other content might be expected from the Genshin Impact version 2.3 stream, new playable areas such as the land of Sumeru might be teased. Barring that, further additions to the current Inazuma area may be unveiled. New events or features may be announced or added to the ongoing content roadmap for the game.

The Genshin Impact version 2.3 stream will go live on Twitch on November 12, 2021. The game itself is available on PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
