Genshin Impact Sangonomiya Kokomi Trailer Shows Off Her Military Skills

Genshin Impact Kokomi trailer

miHoYo has revealed more information and a character trailer for Sangonomiya Kokomi, who will appear on the next banner in Genshin Impact. Similar to recent Inazuman characters (Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, Sayu), Kokomi will function as a support character, though her skills put her closer to a healer than a buffer. She will be a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user. The Sangonomiya Kokomi banner will go live in Genshin Impact from September 21, 2021, right after the current Raiden Shogun banner.

Kokomi’s character trailer shows the pressure of her high status and young age. As the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, she has to govern and lead the people. However, her talents truly shine as a military strategist. The majority of her character lines show that she has a rather pragmatic personality.

You can watch the Kokomi character trailer from the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel here:

Kokomi’s Elemental Skill is like a mix between Barbara’s and Sayu’s. She summons a Bake-Kurage that can deal Hydro DMG to surrounding enemies and heal characters. Additionally, this skill will apply the Wet status to Kokomi, so watch out for your environment. This healing scales off of Kokomi’s HP, as does her Elemental Burst, Nereid’s Ascension. While she has the Ceremonial Garment buff from Nereid’s Ascension, all of her attacks deal more damage. She can also restores HP with every hit. Lastly, she can walk on water while she is wearing the Ceremonial Garment. Unfortunately, this does mean that if you jump into the ocean from a great height while Nereid’s Ascension is activated. She will still take fall damage.

Genshin Impact is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Sangonomiya Kokomi will appear in the gacha from September 21, 2021.
