Genshin Impact Interlude Archon Quest to Feature Shenhe and Ninguang

miHoYo announced an upcoming Interlude Archon Quest in Genshin Impact will feature Shenhe, Ninguang, Keqing, and other Liyue characters. The Interlude Archon Quest will appear in the January 2022 2.4 update. It will be titled “The Crane Returns on the Wind.” Shenhe is one of two new characters that will appear. Details regarding this character were given during the Genshin Impact 2.4 Special Program. The broadcast was held through the official Genshin Impact Twitch account.

More information on the Genshin Impact Interlude Archon Quest will appear in the future. However, a short trailer did appear during the broadcast. This featured the return of the Jade Chamber. Additionally, Baidou was also shown very briefly in it.

Other details that appeared during the broadcast included a breakdown of Shenhe and Yun Jin. This portion included an explanation of their skills and the various inspirations for the individual characters. For example, Shenhe was designed with the theme of “exorcism” in mind. Whereas Yun Jin was inspired by the Chinese opera. Additionally, miHoYo hopes players will become interested in traditional Chinese artwork through Yun Jin. Shenhe, Yun Jin, and Xiao will appear on an upcoming banner.

Other Liyue characters will be featured too in 2.4. Ninguang and Yun Jin will have special hangout events that are expected to arrive through the Genshin Impact 2.4 update.

Genshin Impact is available for PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
