Giga Wrecker Alt., the console release of Game Freak’s Gear Project title that adds new language support and new puzzles, has gotten an October 24, 2019 release date in Japan following a mysterious delay. It turns out that this might have to do with the fact that the game is now getting a physical release for the Switch version in the region.
Giga Wrecker Alt. is being published physically by Rainy Frog, and digitally by Rising Star Games. It’s set to release with a Collector’s Edition at 5,400 yen, although the contents of the Collector’s Edition has yet to be revealed. The regular release will set players back 3,500 yen.
