Free Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet Version Joining The Japanese eShop In May 2019

People who were curious about Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, but wanted to try it before making any sort of purchase, will soon have that opportunity. Koei Tecmo will be bringing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet Basic Free Edition to the Nintendo Switch next week. On May 30, 2019, people will be able to download this version of the game. (Thanks, Japanese Nintendo!)

Like the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune free-to-play version, this means that basic gameplay will be free, but people need to pay for extras. Namely, the Casino Pass and Character Licenses will cost money. To gain access to the Casino, you will need to pay ¥2,160 (~$19.70). Extra characters will be ¥1,296 (~$12) per person.

As a reminder, in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, players visit New Zack Island. Once there, players are put in charge of the island. They then get to interact with heroines from the Dead or Alive series, for example playing minigames with them.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet is available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet Basic Free Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch in Japan on May 30, 2019.
