Fitness Boxing was released in December in Japan and worldwide in January, and Imagineer announced this week that the game has reached over 400,000 copies sold total physically and digitally.
Back in April, they announced that the game reached 300,000 copies sold, meaning that another 100,000 copies have been sold in the four months since then. Seeing its impressive sales, the Japan Sports Agency has included the game in its ‘Sports in Life’ project, making it the first console video game to do so.
Sports in Life is a project formed by various companies, aiming to incorporate sports into everyday lives of regular people. Fitness Boxing was deemed to have contributed to this goal, and Imagineer is set to continue provide fun pick-up-and-play, continuous gameplay experiences going forward.
Fitness Boxing is available on Nintendo Switch.
