An array of Junji Ito manga will be available from December 7, 2022, as Asahi Shimbun Publications will release its very first premium box set of his work. The manga will come in a box that has an illustration by Junji Ito underneath the cover. All of the comics will also have a different cover than the ones on the market, and they are exclusive to this premium box set. The stories inside of the box set are:

  • Tomie (Volume 1)
  • Tomie (Volume 2)
  • Souichi’s Diary of Delights
  • Lovesick Dead
  • Deserter: Junji Ito Story Collection
  • Alley
  • Headless sculptures
  • Drain Pipe Moan
  • Town of Gravestones
  • Frankenstein
  • Kaidan

The manga drafts are miniature copies and feature scenes from comics such as Yotsutsuji no Bishounen. There is also a secret one that only those who purchase the box can see. (Unless, of course, they choose to share it online after they get the box.)

December 2022 and January 2023 will be a busy time for the creator’s releases. Not only will this box come out in December, but the Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre will debut on Netflix the following month. Netflix already shared several teasers for it, such as the opening.

You can purchase the Junji Ito premium box collection from December 7, 2022 via Amazon JP.
