It isn’t often that first-party Nintendo games go on sale. At the moment, four relatively major titles are temporarily reduced at multiple retailers. People can now get Fire Emblem: Three Houses, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for $20 off. This brings the price of each game down to $39.99. [Thanks, Wario64!]
Three retailers are participating in this sale. Here are the direct links to each title at each store. Note that places like Best Buy and Walmart aren’t participating. They are also all still full price at the eShop.
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Amazon, GameStop, Target
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe: Amazon, GameStop, Target
- Super Mario Odyssey: Amazon, GameStop, Target
- Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition: Amazon, GameStop, Target
Of the three games, Super Mario Odyssey is the oldest. The platformer debuted in 2017 and gave people a chance to explore more open areas with Mario. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is technically the oldest, since the original game debuted on the Wii in 2010, but this version ended up showing up on the Switch worldwide in 2020.
Nintendo and the retailers didn’t note how long the sale will last on games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The timing lines up with multiple Golden Week sales.
