Fire Emblem Heroes Explores Dark Depths With Corrin, Lyon, Julia, Ike, and Ashnard

Fire Emblem Heroes is getting a third round of Fallen Heroes, with the characters in question having fallen influence to dark impulses or mind control. As part of the Dark Burdens banner, Male Corrin, Lyon, Julia, and Ike present a more violent side to their usually-heroic personalities. Hope you’re prepared for Fire Emblem Heroes‘ Ashnard.

Lyon’s art is illustrated by Yone Kazuki, the character designer behind the Hakuoki otome game series. This is Kazuki’s first contribution to Fire Emblem Heroes.

This version of Ike is not canon, and details a what-if scenario where he touched the medallion that is usually kept by Mist. This version of Ike first appeared in the Fire Emblem Cipher card game.

While unseen in the trailer itself, Ashnard: Mad King from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance will be the upcoming Grand Hero Battle hero.

Some things to note regarding this banner are that these Heroes, despite their nature, will be added to the regular summoning pool like other Heroes from New Hero Banners. As shown at the end of the trailer, this means that after 40 Summons, players can “spark” a neutral IV copy of any of the four units they choose, guaranteeing that you’ll get one of the units you want at that point. Sadly, there are no four-star Focus units in this banner, meaning that none of them will be added to the 3-4 star summoning pool afterwards.

Finally, here’s a look at the Japanese trailer below. During Lyon’s segment, Lyon is shown facing off against Ophelia, rather than Legendary Alm:
