Square Enix and Ubisoft revealed a collaboration between Final Fantasy XV and Assassin’s Creed at Gamescom 2017 that brings a free Assassin’s Festival DLC event for Final Fantasy XV on August 31.

The collaboration begins on August 30, when Final Fantasy XV players who’ve obtained the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event will be gifted a “very familiar Assassin outfit” for Noctis.

As for the main Assassin’s Festival event, it arrives on the following day, August 31, as a free DLC to all players. In the DLC event, the town of Lestallum will transform itself with signs and banners signaling the arrival of the festival, and new activities will be available for players.

During the event players can check out gameplay elements from the Assassin’s Creed game series, mini-games, and a chance to obtain exclusive items such as the “Medjay Assassin’s Robes” for Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto.

In addition to themed items, you’ll get to try out abilities that enable Noctis to “explore more like an Assassin” and even use some of the “Assassins’ more well-known abilities.”

Everything started between Square Enix and Ubisoft when the companies met up at an informal meeting at Tokyo Game Show three years ago to express admiration for each other’s work. The two teams marked the collaboration announcement with the above piece of artwork, featuring Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis and Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Bayek, at Gamescom 2017.

“This collaboration is the result of being huge fans,” says Assassins Creed: Origins director Ashraf Ismail. “There’s a lot of respect between the two teams and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunity to pay homage to each other’s work.”

The collaboration event will be available from August 31, 2017 through January 31, 2018.

Final Fantasy XV is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
