Nvidia has revealed that Square Enix has released an update for the Final Fantasy XV Benchmark program that allows the application to show GeForce RTX graphics cards’ Deep Learning Super-Sampling (DLSS) capabilities in action. If people run the game while the resolution is set to 4K, they may get to see how it improves framerates, gets rid of dithering, and makes things like Cindy’s hair and the Regalia look better.

Square Enix has updated the Final Fantasy XV Benchmark page to note the DLSS compatibility and explain how people can see it in action. Only people with GeForce RTX 2070, 2080, and 2080 Ti graphics cards can enable DLSS. The resolution also has to be at 4K for people to notice and test the feature in the game. In addition, Nvidia Ansel, the technology that allows people to take better screenshots via its capture tool on GeForce GTX graphic cards, will be disabled if DLSS is enabled.

The Final Fantasy XV Benchmark application is immediately available in English and Japanese for people who want to test the game’s performance and get a score to determine what level of quality they could expect if they ran Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition on their PC. Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is also immediately available.
