The latest series of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.5 screenshots highlight upcoming mounts and minions that will be added to the game. This includes a new Extreme Trial mount and another dragon-type mount that leans more into the machine side of things. Additionally, new minions will be available in the game through the upcoming patch. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Screenshots of the upcoming Ishgard Restoration questline have also been shared. Explorer Mode is receiving an update as well. This includes the exploration of level 70 dungeons. Players will also be able to use performance actions and job actions up to level 80 in Explorer Mode. You can take a look at the latest screenshots, including the new minions and mounts, for Patch 5.5 below.

Outside of the new addition of these mounts and minions in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.5, the PlayStation 5 beta will officially be available to players once the patch goes live. Additionally, the Diamond Weapon trial will be added into the game and is accessible through The Sorrow of Werlyt storyline. The final raid in the Nier Automata YorHa: Dark Apocalypse series will arrive as well.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on PlayStation 4 and PC. The first part of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.5 will arrive on April 13, 2021.
