Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4 during the currently ongoing Letter from the Producer Live Part LXI. Additionally, we got a look at a new trailer for the major update.

After defeating Elidibus and securing the fate of the First, the Scions make their return to the Source. However, what awaits in the new future remains to be seen. In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4, we’ll also see the conclusion of the Edens Verse raid. Ryne and her counterpart Gaia restored balance to the Empty, but the tale appears to be far from over.
In case you missed it, we’ll also get a new “Castrum Marinum” Trial in Patch 5.4. The Warrior of Light’s recent victories led to the discovery of info surrounding the Weapon project. It is essentially the Final Fantasy XIV version of the Emerald Weapon from Final Fantasy XIV. However, in FFXIV, it will appear as a Warmachine code-named “Emerald.” You can check out the latest screenshots here.
