Animate and Square Enix announced a Final Fantasy XI Treasures of Vana’diel 21st Anniversary Exhibition event for Japan. Taking place August 18, 2023 through September 4, 2023, fans have the opportunity to celebrate the past 21 years of the MMORPG. There will also be new pieces of Final Fantasy XI merchandise to go with it.
The special anniversary exhibition will take place at the Space 7/8 venue on the eighth floor of the Yurakucho Marui building in the Chiyoda Ward in Tokyo, Japan. During the few weeks that the event is open, fans can enter from 11 am-8 pm JST daily. The final daily entry for visitors will be at around 7:30 pm JST.
Fans who purchase tickets online in advance will only have to pay 1,500 yen (tax included). (That’s about $10.50) Tickets go on sale starting on July 1, 2023. That sales period will run through the day before the event begins on August 17, 2023. If someone opts to pay for tickets the day of the event, they’ll pay slightly more. They’ll cost 1,800 yen (~$12.50)
Some of the Final Fantasy XI 21st Anniversary merchandise also came up during the announcement. Included in the price of the ticket is a free mini art piece drawn by Fumio Minagawa. There are two versions in total of this exclusive artwork, but they will only be given out while supplies last.
In addition to checking out the exhibits and artwork of Final Fantasy XI at the exhibit, fans also have the option to purchase additional goods and merch.

- Final Fantasy XI portraits: 14,300 yen (four different types available)
- Chocobo Circuit hat: 3,850 yen
- Chocobo Cursor keychain: 770 yen
- Commemorative 21st Anniversary t-shirt: 3,850 yen
- Cookie Rainbow Chest: 1,650 yen
- Sarahim Sentinel hand towel: 800 yen
- Vermilio Cloak hoodie: 13,200 yen
- White Tiger Paidan shorts: 5,500 yen
Those customers who spend more than 5,000 yen on merch will receive an exclusive gift bag based on the Treasures of Vana’diel 21st Anniversary Exhibition while supplies last.
