Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Be Available Through PlayStation Plus

Consumers will be able to download Final Fantasy VII Remake through the PlayStation Plus subscription service starting March 2, 2021. The March 2021 PlayStation Plus update will also include Maquette, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Farpoint. The official PlayStation Blog said all of them will be available on March 2, 2021.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an action RPG that puts an entirely new spin of the classic role-playing game. It debuted back in April 2020. Players follow the events of disc one of Final Fantasy VII, though it comes with some twists and turns that make this narrative a new experience. The game normally costs $59.99.

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third person survival horror shooter that features multiplayer. It originally launched in August 2019. People team up with other players to take on an alien threat and scavenge for supplies in a barren world. This title originally costs $39.99.

Maquette is a first person puzzle game full of vibrant imagery and scenery. Additionally, this game will make its debut on the PlayStation 5 as part of the March lineup of games available through PlayStation Plus.

Farpoint is a first person shooter, and a PlayStation VR title. This title allows for co-op and single play as players explore a strange and foreign planet. This title originally debuted in May 2017 and normally costs $19.99.

Earlier, it was confirmed that PlayStation 4 copies of Final Fantasy VII Remake obtained through the subscription based service would not be available to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. While the reason wasn’t stated, it was mentioned in the fine text found on the Japanese storefront. However, if you own a copy of Final Fantasy VII Remake that you have purchased, you will be eligible for the upgrade.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is immediately available for the PlayStation 4. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Maquette, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Farpoint will be available to download entirely through the PlayStation Plus subscription service from March 2, 2021 to April 5, 2021.

Consumers will be able to get their hands on the previous lineup of PlayStation Plus games until March 1, 2021. The games currently available are Concrete Genie, Control: Ultimate Edition, and Destruction AllStars.
