This is going to be a free event, however it already “sold out” on Eventbrite. It will consist of a photo op, refreshments, and an opportunity  to meet and get autographs from the Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Naoki Hamaguchi. There will also apparently be a Q&A segment, as the announcement page noted people could get a chance to ask them questions.

As a reminder, Kitase has been involved with the Final Fantasy series since Final Fantasy V for the SNES. He’s been involved with multiple Final Fantasy VII games ahead of Rebirth, including the original, Before Crisis: FFVII, Crisis Core: FFVII, Dirge of Cerberus: FFVII, and the 2020 remake. Meanwhile, Hamaguchi worked as a co-director on the first entry in this remake trilogy and on Crisis Core: FFVII Reunion

It isn’t uncommon for Square Enix to host events like these ahead of or around releases of its games. For example, it held a Paws of Valisthea event in Darlinghurst, Australia ahead of Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Ever Crisis is available on the PC and mobile devices.
