In case you missed some of the screenshot comparisons showing how Final Fantasy VII Rebirth looks compared to FFVII, here is a list of some of the recent ones Square Enix shared:

While some of the images aren’t exact 1:1 recreations of shots from the original game, many of them show the direct inspirations and how the PlayStation game influenced the design of the PS5 remake.

This isn’t the only major screenshot release for the game. Following The Game Awards 2023, Square Enix released a batch of new images. Among them were better looks at Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind, two characters who will be debuting in this title. That marked our first look at Vincent’s face, as well as the expected confirmation that Cid will appear in the second part. Both of them also appeared alongside new footage and a theme song at the show as well.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024, with the platform exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFVII Ever Crisis is on mobile devices, with a PC release planned.
