Square Enix shared peeks at the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Final Fantasy IX crossover live wallpapers people can earn or acquire in-game. These feature Cloud as Zidane, Tifa as Amarant, and the Black Waltz opponents.
First, here’s the one with Cloud wearing his Zidane’s Outfit gear and wielding Zidane’s Sword. He’s on the deck of an airship for the live wallpaper. His pose is somewhat simple, as he’s standing and sort of looking up toward the sky at one point. You get this wallpaper by getting items from the crossover banner.
Next, here’s the Tifa Amarant Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Final Fantasy IX one, which is the second of the two gacha live wallpapers. She’s wearing her Amarant’s Guise outfit and wearing her Amarant’s Claws. Her hairstyle is designed to mimic his. For her pose, she’s making a fist with the new weapon while also standing on an airship deck.
Finally, there’s the Black Waltz wallpaper. You earn this one in-game by going through the crossover event. As part of that, you’ll face these former Final Fantasy IX bosses.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for mobile devices. A PC version is in development. The Final Fantasy IX crossover event ends on November 24, 2023
