Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time, A Multiplatform Movie

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is the first cross platform game for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Interestingly, it doesn’t look like there is any difference in the level of graphics between the two versions. You get Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates quality models on the Wii with a different interface. This might not be a huge issue since Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time’s key feature is online play which the trailer emphasizes.

Square Enix plans to sell both versions for the same price, 4,800 yen (about $45). This puts Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time on par in price with other DS games in Japan and slightly cheaper than the average Wii title. If both versions are identical except for the controls I’ll get the DS version. I love the idea of a portable, online action RPG.
