Fight Curses With a Jujutsu Kaisen Tamagotchi in December

Bandai Namco announced Jujutsu Kaisen Tamagotchi are on the way to Japan. Five Tamagotchi Nano varieties total will appear on December 24, 2021. Each one is based on a certain character. The four that will be widely available are based on Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo. Amazon Japan will also sell a white Sukuna variety. Each one will cost 2,530円 (~$23). However, there will also be Hugmy Tamagotchi sets at Premium Bandai for the four main characters. Those include a figure and Tamagotchi for 4,400円 (~$40).

Here’s the official trailer going over the different Jujutsu Kaisen Tamagotchi models and how they work. People can end up getting one of 16 different characters as they play, with people from both Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High represented. For example, in addition to people like Itadori, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, and Gojo, people like Kento Nanami, Utahime Iori, Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, Panda, Aoi Todo, Noritoshi Kamo, Momo Nishimiya, Mai Zenin, Kasumi Miwa, and Ultimate Mechamaru will be in the game. As you play, you’ll feed the characters, train them in three minigames, and face Curses that will need to be exorcised.

Here’s a closer look at the four Jujutsu Kaisen Hugmy Tamagotchi sets. In each case, the vinyl figure is paired with their matching toy. So Yuji Itadori would come with and be able to hug the Tamagotchi with the matching design.

The Jujutsu Kaisen Tamagotchi will launch in Japan on December 24, 2021. The Sukuna model will only be available at Amazon Japan, while the Hugmy Tamagotchi sets will be at Premium Bandai. The other recent themed Tamagotchi Nano announcement involved an R2-D2 Star Wars model.
