Among the many 6.3 FFXIV updates found in the Letter from the Producer Live 74 presentation were ones related to crafting and gathering. A number of changes and new additions are on the way. Among them were additions like Tool Enhancement Quests and a new Custom Deliveries client, as well as fishing quality of life updates.
Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida’s first “panel” for this portion mentioned the big things coming in. There will be new Custom Deliveries. The client for that is from Il Mheg. When people head to La Noscea, there will more for fisherpeople. That’s because it will be the first A Realm Reborn area to support spearfishing.
As for the FFXIV quality of life crafting and gathering changes, two came up. Here are the exact bullet points from the presentation.
- Collectability values will be displayed for reference when gathering collectable items.
- Primary fishing locations, preferred bait, and additional conditions will be added to the Fish Guide.
Finally, the Tool Enhancement Quests will arrive in patch 6.35. Exact details about it didn’t come up.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Patch 6.3 will arrive in early January 2023. It will also bring new dungeon, trial, and raid updates.
