Orbital Express and Playism announced that Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight will release on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The news comes from the Wholesome Direct on June 12, 2021. The game first launched on PC storefronts like GOG and Steam in April 2021.

Designed by nocras, a background artist on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Tasomachi is their debut game. The title has a strong Eastern aesthetic and focuses on 3D platforming, exploration, and item collecting. Players will take control of a young girl named Yukumo traveling in her airship. When it breaks down in a mysterious town with no inhabitants, players will have to explore the locale and learn about the Nezu tribe. In addition to platforming challenges, other gameplay elements include repairing Yukumo’s airship, changing outfits and decorating her room.

Although we thought the visuals were beautiful, we were lukewarm on the title in our playtest when it launched on PC. The game has a heavy emphasis on its visual and audio presentation with music by Ujico*. Artist nocras has also worked on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Pokemon Sword and Shield in varying capacities.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight will release on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One in 2021.
