Part of the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXVII involved additions. Namely, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida went over briefly all things that will come up in the 6.0 update. Most notably, things like FFXIV Role Quests, Studium Deliveries, new trials, the new Raid Dungeon, and the new Treasure Dungeon were discussed, as well as the lack of level 90 Job Quests.
First, the new FFXIV Role Quests will consist of five questlines for healers, magical ranged DPS, melee DPS, physical ranged DPS, and tank units. Sometime in the future, either in 6.1 or a later patch, there will be additional quests after those are done.
However, there won’t be any new FFXIV Job Quests in 6.0. Yoshida noted that the Shadowbringers level 80 quests complete that saga. Yoshida pointed out how “powerful” the Warriors of Light are now. As such, it wouldn’t make sense if it kept moving on with that story. If more quests eventually appear, Yoshida noted there would be different characters and a new “saga.”
As for the FFXIV Studium Deliveries there will be five quests. These will be for the Disciplines of the Hand & Land. So this means lines for the Alchemist/Culinarian, Blacksmith/Armorer/Goldsmith, Botanist/Miner, Carpenter/Leatherworker/Weaver, and Fisher. Like the FFXIV Role Quests, there will be additional quests after those questlines. However, you must finish all five first.
With the new trials, those will be included. However, Yoshida noted they are a “secret.” However, they will have normal and hard modes.
Some of the additional FFXIV dungeons came up as well. The new Raid Dungeons will be Pandaemonium: Asphodelos and its Savage version. The former will appear in patch 6.01, with the latter in 6.05. The former will appear in December 2021, while the latter will show up in January 2022. That 6.05 patch will also include the new Treasure Dungeon The Excitatron 6000. A screenshot of it appeared during the presentation.
