FFVII Remake Concept Art Shows Aerith as a Child

The latest batch of Final Fantasy concept art Square Enix shared shows what Aerith looks like when she was seven years old. There are moments in the game when younger versions of Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith appear. The latest images suggest the design decisions behind her kid self. There’s also a piece of FFVII Remake art depicting Aerith with her mother, Ifalna, when she was a child and the two were living in Shinra custody.

The release of the remake meant that people now got to see Aerith at three different ages. She’s an adult when the adventures of FFVII begin. In Crisis Core: FFVII, she’s a teenager. In FFVII Remake, there are flashback moments when she’s a child.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4, while FFVII Remake Intergrade is out on the PlayStation 5 and PC. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will release for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 13, 2022.
