Fate/Grand Carnival Opening

Fate/Grand Carnival Opening Available on YouTube

Aniplex has posted the Fate/Grand Carnival opening onto their official YouTube channel in commemoration of the OVA’s first season’s Blu-Ray and DVD release. The first season will be available on June 2, 2021. The opening features most of the Servants who appear in the game, and the fast-paced comedic scenes match the rather chaotic atmosphere of Fate/Grand Carnival.

The opening is credit-less but not clean. Aside from the watermark in the corner advertising the Blu-Ray and DVD release, there is running text at the bottom of the screen. The text focuses on the goodies that will come in the Full Special Edition Bonus. These include the OVA’s theme song CD (which includes the opening and the ending sung by Masaaki Endou), as well as the book “Endless Carnival,” which features 128 pages of comics and illustrations from the OVA’s animators.

You can watch the opening on the official Aniplex channel below.

The OVA is produced by Lerche, the company behind Danganronpa: The Animation and Asobi Asobase. Lerche also worked on Carnival Phantasm in 2011, which Fate/Grand Carnival is a spin-off of.

The opening is “Super☆Affection” and is sung by an ensemble cast. The singers are:

  • Aoi Yuki (Shuten Doji)
  • Ayako Kawasumi (Mysterious Heroine X)
  • Ayane Sakura (Medb)
  • Kana Ueda (Ishtar)
  • Mai Kadowaki (Sitonai)
  • Minami Tanaka (Nitocris)
  • Nao Toyama (Ibaraki Doji)
  • Rie Takashi (Mash Kyrielight)
  • Rumi Okubo (Elizabeth Bathory)
  • Sakura Tange (Nero Claudius)
  • Saori Hayami (Atalante)

The Blu-Rays and DVDs for Fate/Grand Carnival’s first season are available from June 2, 2021. The Blu-Ray costs 6800 JPY (roughly $62) and the DVD costs 5800 JPY (roughly $53). The second season will release on August 25, 2021. Fate/Grand Order will also air a flashback feature on YouTube covering events from the first five Lostbelts. Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices.
