Koei Tecmo released information on what bonuses you will be able to get if you purchase a premium box of Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. The Japanese pricing for the normal game is 6,380 JPY (around $47.80) and the premium box will cost 12,080 JPY ($90.55). This price is for the Nintendo Switch version of the game (and you will get a physical copy).

For those who, for some reason, do not want the actual game with the box, you can get a version with only the extra merchandise. With that option, it will cost 5,700 JPY ($42.70). This could be due to some people preferring digital copies of games. As well, the box seems to only include the Switch version. So those without the console or those wanting to play it on something else may skip that version.

The items included in the premium box (outside of the game) are:

  • Official materials book (including a short novel)
  • Original soundtrack CD + serial code for over 150 tracks including the ones from the CD
  • Clear files (2)

As a side note, you may hear interference in the audio when listening to the soundtrack. This is not an issue with the tracks or your device. They are just part of the music.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will come out on the NIntendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC via Steam on March 9, 2023. You will be able to get a physical editions for the Nintendo Switch and the PS4. The Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse premium box (with the game) will only come with the Nintendo Switch version, it seems.
