Capcom issued a warning about possible fake Resident Evil Village beta or demo invites being circulated online. Here is Capcom’s exact message to Destructoid regarding these fake attempts. According to the warning, the false Resident Evil Village message could look like it’s coming from someone at Capcom and involve “Early Access Invitations” in it.

We want to inform you that these messages are NOT from Capcom and appear to be phishing attempts by an unauthorized third party. If you have received such a message, please DO NOT download any files or reply, and delete the message immediately.

Capcom only one Resident Evil Village adjacent beta so far. In January 2021, there was a closed beta test for the game’s multiplayer element, Resident Evil Re:Verse. Ahead of its launch, the company made people aware of it, held a registration period, and had an official website open for it.

Resident Evil Village PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC copies will appear on May 7, 2021. There is a PS5 demo available immediately.
